Wenzeslaus Thomas Matiegka was born in Bohemia in 1773 in the heart of a musical family - his mother was the daughter of the composer Kautnik - and so the young Wenzeslaus received an intense musical education. In this double CD the first complete recording of the trios for violin, viola and guitar are presented. This is a delightful collection of elegant chamber music from the late 18 / early 19th centuries.
